Lessons

A lesson request sent through this site is not a booking. A lesson is booked once I have confirmed it by email and it has been paid for through the link in that confirmation.

Lessons take place online by video call, or in person in the city where I am at the time, and last 60 minutes. For an in-person lesson I confirm the room by email with your booking.

Cancelling or moving a lesson

You can cancel or move a lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before it begins. Just write to me by email.

If you cancel later than that, or don’t come, the lesson counts as taken: a single lesson is not refunded, and a package lesson is used. Your first late cancellation is on me; after that, this rule applies.

If you’re late, the lesson still ends at the booked time. If you haven’t joined or written to me 15 minutes after the start, the lesson counts as missed.

If I have to cancel or move a lesson, for a performance, travel or illness, I’ll tell you as early as I can and we’ll find a new time. If no new time works for you within four weeks, you get your money back, or the lesson goes back on your package.

If the connection fails on my side, we make up the time you lost.

Packages

A package is paid in advance and covers the number of lessons stated. Each lesson is booked in the usual way.

How long a package stays valid: twelve months from the date of payment. Lessons not taken by then lapse.

The members’ library

Monthly: the membership renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Stripe receipt; access ends when the paid period ends.

One payment: access continues for as long as the members’ library exists.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract made online.

For the members’ library, you ask for access to begin immediately and agree that your right of withdrawal ends once access has begun.

For lessons, a lesson that falls within the fourteen days takes place at your express request. If you withdraw after that lesson has been given, you pay for the part already provided.
